Greater Stillwater Chamber shares the stories of local businesses affected by COVID-19

The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, along with the city of Stillwater, has been active in the community to connect with local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and to share their stories on the changes they have made to adapt to Governor Walz’s Stay-At-Home order.

Along with Stillwater Council Member David Junker, we sat down with several community business members; Cory Buettner of Leo’s Grill & Malt Shop, Chuck Dougherty of Water Street Inn, Sara Jesperson of The Lumberjack, and Kelli Kaufer of Smith & Trade Mercantile.

Their stories were uploaded to the Chamber’s YouTube channel, along with being shared across their social media platforms.

Reaching clients during a pandemic with podcast at JNBA

As COVID-19 began to take its toll on the economy, JNBA Financial Advisors was looking for a way to reach its clients to educate them during these turbulent times and decided to use a series of podcast episodes to reach clients on a regular basis. However, with Minnesota Governor Walz issuing a “stay at home” order, recording the podcast episodes on-site at JNBA’s office became increasingly unlikely.

Through video conferencing tools and reviewing best techniques for recording, we got creative and worked with JNBA to record the podcasts remotely. JNBA staff called in on a conference line through their phones and computers from their homes to record their parts of the podcast. We recorded the conversations, then edited them all together for JNBA to review.

JNBA has received an overwhelming positive response from clients, who the podcast episodes have helped guide through the uncertain times.

Highlighting Nonin Medical meeting increased demand during COVID-19 pandemic

Nonin Medical is a Plymouth-based med-tech company the produces many items for the industry. With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the company has seen an increase in demand for its mobile pulse oximeters. With our strategic partners at Bellmont Partners, Nonin wanted to produce a behind-the-scenes video of its production line.

We spent a day filming the intricacies of the production of their various products, from assembly to delivery. We then produced two short videos for them highlighting the process. One video was used in distribution to news organizations. The other was used in social media to highlight the hard work that Nonin employees are putting in to meet demands.
