Behind the Camera for Law & Crime Network's Prime Crime

Mediamazing was brought in by Law & Crime Network to film an on-camera interview with St. Paul criminal defense attorney Jack Rice for an episode of Prime Crime, centered on the Nikita Casap case. The setup: Jack's office in St. Paul, a Sony FX6, and an interviewer joining live via Google Meet from New York.

Remote Interviewer, Local Execution

With the interviewer based in New York, the entire conversation ran through Google Meet in real time — which means the camera work and the call management had to happen simultaneously. We built the lighting around Jack's office environment, locked in the FX6, and handled audio routing on both ends while monitoring the call for latency and making sure every response was hitting cleanly on our end.

The Result

A broadcast-ready interview that fits seamlessly into a nationally produced show — filmed in the Twin Cities, coordinated across two time zones, on a single camera.
